It’s That Time of Year Again – Open Your Christmas Clubs For 2005

The new Christmas Clubs for 2005 will begin on October 18th. If you had a Christmas Club last year, you will automatically be enrolled for the same amount in 2005 unless you notify us to make a change.

Any member who wishes to start a new Christmas Club should contact any Credit Union representative. You can have payroll deduction or you can simply deposit what you want, when you want to, into your Christmas Club account, and it will be there for your Christmas shopping in 2005.

Many banks offer “free checking,” but there’s almost always a catch. When shopping for your checking account, here are several questions to ask that will help you determine whether the account offered will really serve your needs, and how much it will cost you in the end. Account Requirements and Restrictions: • Is there a minimum balance requirement? Some banks require a minimum balance of $5,000 or more in order to receive their free checking benefits! • Is direct deposit of your net paycheck required? • Does the free checking offer expire? Many offers are made on a one-year term. • Are you required to purchase your checks directly from the bank?
