Introducing Electronic Bill Payment Use Electronic Billpay Now!

A New Service at Your Credit Union

Are you tired of paying bills? If so, let the Credit Union pay them for you! Okay, so your Credit Union can’t actually supply the funds to pay your bills, but it can eliminate the stress and time constraints associated with doing so. The service is called Electronic Bill Payment (EBP), and it makes paying the bills simple and convenient. Here’s how it works…

With EBP, you receive bills the way you always have and, therefore, you maintain the right to verify the amount you have been billed is correct. When you’re ready to pay the bill, you will schedule your payment on-line at www.northpennfcu.org and the Credit Union will do the rest!

The Credit Union’s EBP system offers some unique features designed to save time when you schedule payments. For example, you can schedule recurring payments of the same amount (i.e. your home mortgage) to be paid automatically each month. In addition, you can establish payee profiles to avoid entering contact information each time a bill is to be paid. This streamlines the bill paying process even if the amount to be paid varies from month to month.

To ensure your payments are received on time, all you have to do is schedule it five days prior to the bill’s due date.

The Credit Union’s EBP service is FREE for the first two months, and just $4.75 per month after for 8 bills, and then only 40¢ each bill over 8. If you’re like most people, time is getting more and more valuable. It seems that stopping by the post office to pick up stamps, sitting down to write out a share draft for each bill and remembering to drop them in the mail doesn’t always fit into the hustle and bustle of daily life. The convenience of having extra time and less stress is worth the investment.

If you have any questions or would like to sign-up for the Credit Union’s EBP service, please contact the Credit Union at 215-822-9119, or ask a member services representative for an authorization form the next time you stop by the Credit Union.

You can print the form here.

Symptom: Spring Fever, Cure: New Car

Buy a New car this Spring!

You’ve got the fever and you’ve got it bad! There’s only one thing that will really cool you down and prepare you for the warm weather ahead...a NEW CAR! Dealers are ready to prey on fever-struck buyers with special pricing and super financing. But what may seem a good deal now may later turn into a financing headache. That’s why you should follow these simple steps as you shop for a vehicle:

  1. Find the vehicle that meets your requirements; don’t just settle for what the dealer is trying to clear
    from inventory.

  2. Compare dealer financing rates (expressed as Annual Percentage Rate) and monthly payments to the
exact type of loan at the Credit Union (verify that term, amount financed and other insurances are
    the same for both)

  3. Apply for a pre-approval on a Credit Union vehicle loan. A pre-approval will save you time once you
select the vehicle you want, and may give you the ability to negotiate the lowest possible price.
Remember, insurance and interest charges are a major profit maker for the car dealership. They simply will not offer the lowest price (with rebates) AND their best rate of interest. Your Credit Union exists to serve you, the member, with low cost borrowing power, and doesn’t need to maintain a high profit. See your Credit Union for low rates to treat your “fever” and be well on your way to a speedy recovery!
